Cimi - Center for International Migration and Integration

For the past five years I’ve been working with the CIMI organization as a professional translator and interpreter for the Chinese construction workers population living in Israel.

I’ve been serving as a bridge and channel between them and the immigration bureau.

This work is very demanding and bears a lot of responsibilities. It is working with a community which requires a lot of care, sensitivity and of course the will to listen and help as much as possible.

It also includes executing and receiving phone calls from workers, translating the calls from Chinese to English and Hebrew or vice versa, sending daily reports and translating various documents.

I believe in ethics in whatever we do, moral standards are the key to succeed and do what’s right. Thus, I'm proud to have this environment and opportunity where I could exercise those qualities while benefiting those in need, adding value to their challenging work and life conditions.
